RedRover Terminates Odin’s Eye Entertainment’s Rights to MegaRacer Following Unauthorized Release of Unapproved Version
Seoul, South Korea – July 16, 2025 —
RedRover Co., Ltd., the production company behind the $10 million animated feature MegaRacer, has formally terminated its distribution agreement with Odin’s Eye Entertainment Pty Ltd. due to multiple material breaches, including the unauthorized theatrical release of an unapproved version of the film in the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE release was executed without RedRover’s knowledge or approval and prior to formal delivery of the film. It also lacked a Collection Account Management Agreement (CAMA) and proper financial reporting, as required under the distribution contract.
The version released in the UAE was adapted into English by Odin’s Eye, despite lacking final approval from RedRover on the script and dialogue changes. While Odin’s Eye had been expected to coordinate a professional English adaptation consistent with RedRover’s creative standards, it instead presented a version that had not been contractually cleared or approved for release.
Further compounding the breach, the sales agent proceeded without a fully executed Chain of Title, undermining the legal validity of sublicensing activity during the relevant period.
Effective July 15, 2025, all international distribution rights previously held by Odin’s Eye have been rescinded. RedRover is actively notifying partners and pursuing remedies, including restitution of misappropriated revenue and removal of unauthorized authorship claims.
The final approved version of MegaRacer remains unreleased and under RedRover’s control. The company is now reorganizing its global launch strategy and welcomes distribution inquiries.
